Implementation

Implementation and Onboarding

SkillNex onboarding is a structured, supported process — not a self-service sign-up. We configure the platform to your institution's workflows, migrate existing data where applicable, and train your team before your first programme cycle goes live.

What Implementation Looks Like

Most institutions are fully operational within 2–4 weeks. The process is divided into five structured stages.

  1. 1

    Scoping and configuration planning

    Week 1

We work with your team to understand the modules required, programme structures, user types, and workflow requirements. This produces a configuration plan specific to your institution.

  2. 2

    Platform configuration

    Week 1–2

SkillNex configures your instance — user roles, workflow stages, grant settings (where applicable), course catalogue structure, and portal branding. We handle the setup; you review and approve.

  3. 3

    Data migration

    Week 2–3

Where you have existing data to migrate — learner lists, employer records, course histories — we work through the migration process to get your instance populated before go-live.

  4. 4

    User training

    Week 2–3

Role-specific training sessions for administrators, coordinators, and other platform users. We train your team on the workflows they will use, not the full platform in the abstract.

  5. 5

    Review and go-live

    Week 3–4

A structured review session confirms the configuration meets your requirements. After sign-off, the platform goes live for your first programme cycle with SkillNex support on standby.
